I've finished the hood, the passenger door and the grill. I'm currently working on the driver's side door, and adding mosaic elements to the mermaid on the driver's side of the van.
I'm trying to think of the best way to treat the bumpers and grill of the van. Should I paint them a solid color to match the roof or should I paint a beach scene, to match the interior? Still mulling it about in the brain. We're getting into the lovebug season down here in Florida, so paint being damaged is always an issue.
I want to add tikis to the van, because tikis are my thing. Not sure if I want to add them as elements or as mosaic designs. I'm thinking mosaic designs. They can go on the back, I think, under the windows. Originally, there was going to be nothing but happy waves of color, but this thing is an evolving installation, just as most art is, and I'm struggling with how to go about making myself happy with it and to make others smile, too.
All I know is, I'm loving the process, and I'm loving it. She makes my heart sing, this wild thing.
